AyB Hislabor History

These are some of the most important milestones in our more than 140 years’ history:

Opening of the lace and trimmings workshop in Valladolid, the origin of one of our current production plants.

Opening of Hislabor, dedicated to the haberdashery sector.
1986
1994
Launching of AyB, specialized in trimmings for the garment industry.
1994
1996
Opening of JH Decor, focused on our in-house production of trimmings for decoration and home textiles.
1996
2005
We participated in the founding of Shanghai East Dragon, a Chinese Joint Venture company focused on the production of zippers, along Chinese, South Korean and Italian partners.

2006
Development of the inter-supplier program, reaching collaboration and participation agreements with large trimmings and accessories manufacturing groups in Asia.

Merging of the different companies of the group into a single legal entity, AyB Hislabor, maintaining the specialization of products and markets of each one at internal levels of action.

Opening of AyB Cose Co. in the city of Guangzhou, a Chinese WFOE fully owned by AyB Hislabor. Its goals are the control and monitoring of productions in Asia as well as giving direct service to production plants located there of several multinational clothing companies.

Inauguration of our current offices in Tordesillas, grouping the 4 previous facilities in Valladolid.

Acquisition of the production unit of the former SA Grober, consisting of more than 1,300 braiding and weaving machines.

Majority shareholding in the French company Belly Button, a haberdashery and trimmings wholesaler based in Paris.

Expansion of the production unit and construction of a new plant adjacent to our facilities in Tordesillas.
