Corporate Social Responsibility
In AyB Hislabor we believe that as a company we can not only focus on creating economic value, but also, we have the responsibility of creating social value in our environment, contributing to its sustainable development. In this sense we have taken the following actions over the last years:
External Actions
- We donate the 0,7% of our total annual turnover to several NGOs and cooperation projects.
- We are Médicins Sans Frontières (MSF) emergency strategic partner, the highest tier of partnership available with this international NGO. Furthermore, we are one of the top 10 donors among Spanish companies in terms of yearly donations.
- We personally audit all the factories with which we collaborate so to ensure the accomplishment of all the relevant labor and environment regulations.
- We sponsor several cultural events and sport teams in our near environment.
- We have donated large quantities of items to produce protection masks to several entities in our region.
- All of our zippers are handled and labelled in Valladolid by persons with intellectual disabilities, in collaboration with Fundación Personas.
Internal actions
- We have established a state-of-the-art wastewater treatment plant to deal with the wastewater generated by the dyeing and finishing plant, in which the resulting water is virtually drinkable.
- We have developed an Internal Equality of Opportunity Code of Practice.
- We promote reutilization, waste separation and sorting; 97% of our total residues are handled by recycling plants. Likewise, we have established an internal audit process to boost the energetic efficiency of all our processes.
- We accomplish the Code of Good Tax Practices issued by the Spanish Ministry of Economy and Finance
